OFFICIAL POSTCARD
5 PFENNIGE


Issued 1st Jan 1875 and measuring 140 x 90mm this official postcard features a violet 'number in ellipse with crown' value stamp of 5Pf, and is inscribed "PFENNIGE" (with an 'E'). This card exists in three variations. P5I/01 has a gap in the 3rd dotted address line, P5I/02 has a gap in the 4th dotted address line and P5II is without a gap in either the 3rd or 4th dotted address line. The Pre-printed stamp is the same as the adhesive Michel 32 stamp.

Variations:
P5I/01: (Gap in the third address line at the following locations):
Left 2 or 3 or 24 or 2 and 3 or Right 8 or 10 or 7 and 8 or 5 and 10.

P5I/02: (Gap in the fourth address line at the following locations):
The most common gaps are found at positions Left 3 or Right 3 or Left and Right 3. Alternative gaps are found at:

Left 2 or 4 or 6 or 7 or 2 and 3 or 3 and 4 or 3 and 5, or 4 and 5 or 5 and 6 or 6 and 7 or 2 and 3 and 4, or 3 and 4 and 5 or 4 and 5 and 6 or

Rght 2 or 4 or 6 or 7 or 8 or 11 or 2 and 3 or 3 and 4 or 4 and 5 or 5 and 6 or 6 and 7 or 7 and 8 or 2 and 3 and 4 or 4 and 5 and 6 and others. In the example above the gap is at the third left dot.

P5II: No gaps in either the 3rd or 4th dotted address lines.
