There were two almost identical postcards issued to commemorate the 400th Anniversary of Phillips University in Marburg from 29th to 31st Jul 1927.

PP101-C-5/01 has shorter, wider text (4mm high), whereas PP101-C-5/02 has taller, thinner text (9mm high).

There was a special cancellation associated with this issue and it can be seen on the examples below. The inscription reads "MARBURG 1 (LAHN) 400 JAHRE PHILLIPS-UNIVERSITAT".
