MICHEL P261
OFFICIAL POSTCARD
6Rpf
There were two more official semi-postal postcards (P261 and P262) issued to commemorate the upcoming Summer Olympic Games being held in Berlin from 1st to 16th Aug 1936, more specifically the sailing competitions held in Kiel. Both cards have the same design (a view of sailing boats). Apart from the difference in colour P261 has a 6+4Pf pre-printed stamp and P262 has a 15+10Pf pre-printed stamp.
In addition to these commemorative postcards there were also a number of special cancellations used at the various venues around the Olympic sites.
