NAZI GERMANY
MY LIPOSTA POSTAL EXHIBITION
POSTCARDS

line
The Liposta exhibition in Berlin was supposed to take place from 9th to 10th Apr but was postponed until 7th and 8th May due to the Austrian vote on joining with Germany. The event was sponsored by the Postage Stamp Collector's Club in Berlin-Lichtenrade.

There are four versions of this card. The first two, PP122-C-77-01 and PP142-C-29-01, have a 3Pf Hindenburg Medallion stamp and a 5Pf Airmail stamp, respectively.

The second two cards (PP122-C-77-02 and PP142-C-29-02), are identical to the first two, except for additional text stamped in red ink, on the top left-hand corner that reads:

'Wegen Volksabstimmung verlegt auf den 7. und 8. Mai 1938'
'Postponed to May 7th and 8th, 1938 due to a referendum'

There was also a special cancellation associated with the exhibition.
