Issued on 28th Jan 1938. This postcard was issued to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of the Nazi Party being in Government (Hitler became Chancellor on 30th Jan 1933). As a symbol of the victory of the National Socialist movement, the stamp image shows a young German carrying the light of truth and the laurel of honor through the Brandenburg Gate into the capital of the Reich. Proceeds from the surcharge went to the Reich's Culture Fund.
