NAZI GERMANY
RADEBEUL COLLECTORS' SHOW
(15th May 1938)

line
There were two private postcards issued to commemorate the Radebeul Collectors' Show in Redebeul. The first card (PP122-C-81) has a 3Pf Hindenburg Medallion pre-printed stamp and the second card (PP142-C-32) has a pre-printed 5Pf Luftpost stamp. There was also a special cancellation inscribed 'RADEBUEL 2 | D.S.G Werbeschau' used to commemorate the event. The 3Pf postcard features a photograph of Karl May whilst the 5Pf has a picture of his tomb. Karl May was a German author who died in Radebeul on 30th Mar 1912. There is a website dedicated to Karl May's memory. The cards below show the special cancel that was used to commemorate this event.

There was a third postcard available, very similar to PP122-C-81, only instead of 4 lines of text it only has Karl May's name and there is no pre-printed stamp, this can also be seen below.
