NAZI GERMANY
MY DAY of GERMAN ART
POSTCARDS

Published by Münchener Grossveranstaltungen e.V, this postcard celebrates the Day of Germany Art, an exhibition held in Munich from 14th to 16th July 1939. There was a stamp and an offical postmark that were also used for this event. The reverse of the card has a pre-printed 6Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp.
the artwork was designed by Karl Kaspar (1879-1956). The Nazi oppression of art and artists whom they deemed degenerate, led to much of Kaspar's works being destroyed and he was removed from his position as a professor at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts.

5Rpf HINDENBURG MEDALLION
PRE-PRINTED STAMP
The offical postcard features a pre-printed 6Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp. As with the postcard below that deos not have a pre-printed stamp, both cards were published by Münchener Grossveranstaltungen e.V.
