P282 was the official postcard for the 1939 Nazi Party Rally held from 2nd to 11th Sep 1939. The pre-printed stamp on the reverse is a 6Pf stamp featuring Adolf Hiltler carrying a Swastika flag. There is an inscription "Festpostkarte | Reichsparteitag des friedens | Nürnberg 2.-11.September 1939".

This second example was not used at the 1939 rally, instead it has been cancelled on 'The Day of the Stamp', 12th Jan 1941. The cancellation is the special cancellation used in Düsseldorf featuring a torpedo boat on patrol in rough seas. The stamps are a curious mixture of semi-postal stamps:

There is a carmine, 12 + 38Pf, 1940 issue Michel 744 of Hitler with a child, released to commemorate his 51st birthday. Beside that stamp is a green and white, 1940 issue, 6 + 94Pf Michel 750 stamp released to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Helgoland being German.

Finally there are the two 1940 issue Michel 748 and Michel 749 stamps released to commemorate the re-integration of Eupen, Malmedy and Moresnet to Germany.
