OFFICIAL POSTCARDS
Please note the following for this website. Official Postcards are defined as:
1. Postcards of the German Empire issued by the Official German postal Authority, from 1873 until 1945.
2. Postcards that were generally available throughout the entire country and have a pre-printed (Indicia) stamp to cover the cost of postage.
The vast majority of official postcards have no printing on the reverse side so no image of the reverse side is provided, except in the few instances where there was something printed on the reverse of the card.

(POSTCARD)
Issued: 29th Dec 1934. Special postcard to raise money for the German Winter Welfare Fund. This card measures 130 x 85mm. These cards consisted of pairs of postcards that were only available in sets from the street lottery of the Winter Relief Organization in 1934/35 (they were not sold at post office counters). The ticket price was 50Pf, and only every tenth card in the set had a stamp on one of the two halves.
Contiguous pairs of cards were not allowed to be sent by post, but there are pieces that were used without objection. There are 200 different images (100 pairs). 22 of the cards have a pre-printed stamp.
There were six different variations in the format of these double cards as shown below:
A P254 must have the following characteristics:
(1) 6Pf green candle pre-printed stamp.
