Please note the following for this website. Official Postcards are defined as:
1. Postcards of the German Empire issued by the Official German postal Authority, from 1873 until 1945.
2. Postcards that were generally available throughout the entire country and have a pre-printed (Indicia) stamp to cover the cost of postage.
The vast majority of official postcards have no printing on the reverse side so no image of the reverse side is provided, except in the few instances where there was something printed on the reverse of the card.

Issued: 1st Sep 1938. Special postcard issued to commemorate the 1938 Nazi party rally in Nürnberg. The value stamp features Adolf Hitler's head looking to the right with the inscription "Reichsparteitag 1938". The image on the left-hand pane is that of Nürnberg Castle.
A P272 must have the following characteristics:
(1) 6Pf + 19Pf green Adolf hitler head with the inscription "Reichsparteitag 1938", pre-printed stamp.

Issued: 20th Sep 1938. Special postcard issued to commemorate Thanksgiving Day 1938. The value stamp is the same as P272 above, but with a slightly different inscription, it now reads "Erntedanktag 1938". The image on the left-hand pane depicts a farmer in traditional Schaumburg costume with a fruit basket.
A P273 must have the following characteristics:
(1) 6Pf + 19Pf green Adolf hitler head, pre-printed stamp inscribed "Erntedanktag 1938".

Issued: 1st Oct 1939. Special postcard issued to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Postcards. The value stamp features the head of Adolf Hitler facing to the right as well as a decorative frame. On the front of the cards are images of Adolf Hitler.
A P278 must have the following characteristics:
(1) 6Pf + 19Pf dark green, Adolf Hitler head, pre-printed stamp with no additional inscription.
