Issued: 11th Nov 1946 and printed recess by the Del La Rue Company on 'Multi Script CA' paper and perf 13½:14. These stamps feature a portrait of King George VI with the Houses of Parliament and the River Thames in the background. The King and the Houses of Parliament represent the Constitutional Monarchy where the state is ruled by an elected parliament and a hereditary king or queen.
