This example has the special cancel used at the show and is inscribed "STUTTGART | STADT DER AUSLANDS DEUTSCHE | REICHS-GARTENSCHAU 1939". The image on this special cancel is the same as on the postcard and depicts a shovel and a hat that might be worn by someone to protect them from the sun whilst gardening.The stamp is Michel 693, one of two stamps issued on 22nd Apr 1939 to commemorate the show.
