SG 209 to 211 'Duke and Duchess of Gloucester' 'Visit to Australia'
These commemorative stamps celebrate the visit of the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester to Australia. Issued 19th Feb 1945, recess printed on paper watermarked 15. Perf 14½ and designed by F.D. Manley and engraved by F.D. Manley and T.C. Duffell.
Issued 24th Dec 1945. This stamp has the same design as SG 134 (issued on 6th Aug 1935) but re-engraved with a single line between the '2/-'' and the 'SH', where as the original desing has two parallel lines. Perf 12 and printed on watermarked 15 paper.
