The post office issued two very similar special postmarks to accompany this issue, both featuring a dog's collar and the inscription "FIRST DAY OF ISSUE EDINBURGH - 7 FEB 1979" and the second inscribed "FIRST DAY OF ISSUE LONDON SW - 7 FEBRUARY 1979".
