PRINT QUALITY VARIATIONS
There appears to be quite a range in the quality of the printing for this stamp. The poor quality versions are not well defined and have far less detail than the better quality printings. I don't know the reason for the variation but would be interested to know if someone has the answer.(1)

Block of 4
The different quality in the stamps mentioned above is clearly evident in this block of 4. The two stamps on the upper row are much more clearly defined than the two stamps on the bottom row (evident in the waterwheel and rock pile on the bottom right-hand side), indicating that the variation is not due to different print runs or different printing houses
