1924
The 1924 postcard page has now been split into four separate pages as it was beginning to get unwieldy. All 1924 Official postcards are now on this page. Official postcards are cards that were issued by the Reich’s post office, had pre-printed (indicia) stamps and were widely available throughout German towns and cities.
Secondly Printed to Private Order postcards are postcards that were generally issued by entities that were advertising an event or commemorating an anniversary, and also had pre-printed stamps, but were not widely available throughout Germany (most were only available at the event they were commemorating).
Thirdly Other postcards are postcards that fall into the same general category as printed to private order however they do not have pre-printed stamps.
Finally, Miscellaneous postcards is where you will find postcards that do not fit into the first three categories (i.e. they are not official, they do not have pre-printed stamps, and they do not commemorate an event).

This official Airmail postcard was issued in 1924 due to Currency reform after the hyperinflation period. The pre-printed stamp is a stylized pigeon with the inscription "Deutsche Flugpost", in new currency (Rentenmark). Format 140 x 90mm. The only text on the card is the word "Absender" in the top left-hand corner of the card and "Flugpostkarte" directy above the vertical dividing line.

Issued 1924. Stylised Adler, small postcard format 140 x 90mm. Single line for the dividing line. Almost identical to P162 except for the dividing line on P162 is thicker and consists of a thick dark green line with light green on each side (3 lines).

Exactly the same design and size as P156 above only now with increased value pre-printed stamp. 20Pf now instead of 5Pf. P157 exists in two variants: Type 'I' has a straight edge and Type 'II' has a serrated edge.

P158 has the same design as P156 and P157 above only now as a reply card. The Message side of the card is inscribed "Postkarte | mit Antwortkarte" both to the right of the central divider. The Reply (A) side of the card is inscribed "Postkarte | (Antwortkarte)".

Issued 1924 with 20Pf eagle pre-printed stamp and design similar to P158 only now with different inscription. Text to the right of the vertical divinder now reads "Postkarte (Antwort) | Carte postale - réponse" on the Message (F) side of the card. The text on the Reply (A) side reads "Postkarte mit Antwortkarte | Carte postale avec réponse payée".
