From 6th Apr 1912 - 28th Jul 1915. German colonisers moved into the area in the late 19th century using the Nyong River as a means to reach the wild rubber growing regions farther inland. The Germans built a fort and other military and administrative buildings in the town. (1)

Examples in blue and violet can be found in 1908, 1910 and 1913. As with the Bibundi cancel above deep black cancels dated 18.9.00, 2.12.00, 7.12.00, 2.1.01, 7.2.01 and 19.3.01 are backdated cancels.
