Issued: Apr 1903, Regular issue German Empire stamps Michel 54 to 66, "Germania and representative illustrations" inscribed "REICHSPOST" with horizontal 'Pfennig' values. Overprinted black "Marocco" and value except Mi18 overprinted carmine-red.
This stamp should not be confused with Michel 8 I which was issued in 1900 and has a less bold overprint. The differences in Type I and Type II are shown below:
