MICHEL P235a
USED

This P235a postcard has been cancelled with a special cancel used to commemorate the March of the Nazi Party members of Gau Saxony from DRESDEN to NÜRNBERG, just prior to the 1936 Annual Reichsparteitag (Nazi Party Rally). The inscription on the cancel reads:

"MARSCHSTAFFEL ZUM REICHSPARTEITAG DER NSDAP | DRESDEN-HOF- NÜRNBERG | MARSCHPOST | GAU SACHSEN"
"MARCH RELAY TO THE NATIONAL PARTY CONVENTION OF THE NSDAP | DRESDEN-HOF- NUREMBERG | MARCH MAIL | GAU SAXONY"

The second stamp, a 6Pf stamp commemorating the rally wasn't needed, and was likely added in order to get a second cancellation.
