My Serbian Stamps
1941
The Axis armies, Germany and Italy invaded the Balkans on 6th April 1941 in an effort to protect their southern flank for the eventual invasion of Russia. The campaign lasted a mere 11 days when the Yogoslavian government surrendered. The Yugoslavian state was subsequently divided into 10 sections. Serbia (excluding Macedonia) was placed under the control of the German Army and occupation stamps were produced by the State Printing Office in Belgrade.

Issued: 28th Jul 1941. Yugoslavian Airmail stamps like Michel 21 to 25 but now without burelage and with new value overprints, perf L12½.

Issued: 1st Sep 1941. New issue of Yugoslavian Definitive stamps like Michel 1 to 15 but now with black diagonal overprint from lower left to upper right. Perf K12½.
