11th ANNIV of ASSUMPTION of POWER
Issued: 20th Jan 1944. This stamp was designed by Gottfried Klein from a photograph by Hitler's personal photograher Heinrich Hoffmann. Printed photogravure on coated paper by the Vienna State Printing Works the stamp was perforated K 14 with yellowish gum and had no watermark. There was no special postmark or postcard used to celebrate this event.

(2) Cancelled with special cancel from 'MARIENBURGH (WESTPR)' on 6th Jul 1944. The cancel appears to read 'Burg der Deutschen 700 Jahre Ostgeschicht' or 'Castle of the Germans 700 years of Eastern history' but this needs confirmation.
(3) Cancelled with a standard CDS cancel in 'ASCHAFFENBURG' on 12th May 1944.
