There are three types of overprint known to exist. In Type 1 the exclamation mark has a rounded top to the vertical line and the period is joined directly to the vertical line. Type 2 also has a rounded top but the period is separated from the vertical line. Type 3 also has the period separate from the vertical line but the top of the line is more pointed than rounded.
Type 1 and 2 occur with a printing error where the 'W' of 'Wir' is broken on the top left stroke. All types also exist where the swastika is rotated slightly to the right so that the top arm is between the 'ei' of 'frei' rather than directly under the 'e' of 'frei'.
