Issued: 1st Jan 1943 and featuring a Church. This stamp measures 26 x 33mm and was printed photogravure on watermark 10 paper and is perf 12¼. This stamp has a very similar design to the 1939 Michel 607 and 1941 Michel 674 only now with slightly changed colour and background on watermark 10 paper.
This stamp features Kassa Cathedral located in Košice, the largest city in Eastern Slovakia. It is situated on the river Hornád at the eastern reaches of the Slovak Ore Mountains, near the border with Hungary. Košice is the second largest city in Slovakia after the capital Bratislava.
