This stamp was issued in sheets of 50 on 14th July 1942 and celebrates the 9th Brown Ribbon Race. There are 3 special postmarks that were used, one has the same design as the stamp, another is inscribed "German Alpen Prize Race" and depicts the head of a horse. The last postmark inscribed "International Race Week Munich 1st-26th July 1942. Brown Ribbon of Germany". The stamp is Perf K14 and was designed by Prof Klein and produced at the Vienna State Printing Office.
