Issued: 1st Jul 1939. Printed photogravure on watermarked 9 paper and perf 12¼. Size 26 x 33mm. The design and denomination is the same as Michel 677 issued in 1941 and similar to Michel 717 issued in 1943 but the colour, denomination, watermark and perfs differ.
This stamp features Kassa Cathedral located in Košice, the largest city in Eastern Slovakia. It is situated on the river Hornád at the eastern reaches of the Slovak Ore Mountains, near the border with Hungary. Košice is the second largest city in Slovakia after the capital Bratislava.
