"Kassa Cathedral"
Issued: 1942 to celebrate the Church in Hungary. This stamp was printed photogravure on watermarked 10 paper, perf 12½:12. This stamp is very similar to the 1939 Michel 611 and the 1943 Michel 717 only with different colours, watermark and perfs.
This stamp features Kassa Cathedral located in Košice, the largest city in Eastern Slovakia. It is situated on the river Hornád at the eastern reaches of the Slovak Ore Mountains, near the border with Hungary. Košice is the second largest city in Slovakia after the capital Bratislava.
