FIRST SERIES
P221
The First Hindenburg series of Get to Know Germany appeared in early 1933 and are refered to as P221 in the Michel series. This series comprises a total of 78 different cards, 69 of them have the heading 'Lernt Deutschland Kennen!' and the remaining 9 have either:
1. 'Besucht das Grenzland: P64
2. 'Besucht das schöne Schlesien': P14, P39, P44, P65 and P??
3. 'Pruβische Staatsbader': P24, P56 and P70.
Cards of the first Hindenburg series (P221) are easily identified by the elongated tail on the 'e' of 'Postkarte'. Later issues do not have such an elongated 'e'.
The earliest known use of this postcard is 13th Apr 1933.
