PAUL von HINDENBURG
SIXTH & FINAL SERIES
P238
The sixth Hindenburg series of Get to Know Germany appeared in mid 1937 and is referred to as P238 in the Michel series. In this series the green tones, images and text colour returns, but the pre-printed Hindenburg stamp is now a 5Rpf stamp rather than the original 6Rpf stamp. This set bears the printers number 97 and consists of the usual 9 cards. Each card has the heading 'Lernt Deutschland Kennen!' but card No.6 advertising Schierke has an additional subheading 'Gesundung Erholing bietet' loosely translated as 'Recovery offers recovery'.
Of the 9 cards only P238-06 has an additional sub-heading entitled "Gesundung Erholung bietet”.
The earliest known use of this postcard is 4th Aug 1937
