This official envelope was issued 1st Sep 1872 and was not for use in Bavaria or Württemburg. The value stamp is a 1 Groschen, eagle with LARGE breastplate Michel 19 stamp.
There are four versions of this official envelope:
U3-I-A: Envelope measures 147 x 84mm. Right-hand "1" measures 3.3 to 3.5mm.
U3-I-B: Envelope measures 148 x 115mm. Right-hand "1" measures 3.3 to 3.5mm.
U3-II-A: Envelope measures 147 x 84mm. Right-hand "1" measures 3.7 to 4mm.
U3-II-B: Envelope measures 148 x 115mm. Right-hand "1" measures 3.7 to 4mm.
This envelope is the same as Michel U1 only U1 has a smaller shield.
